Michael Dougherty is a nature photographer, webmaster and free lance writer living in Newton County in Northwest Arkansas. His home borders the Ponca Wilderness of the Buffalo National River Park. His work is focused primarily on Arkansas nature photography, wildlife, and rural subjects within 100 miles of his home in Compton, Arkansas. He has written articles for Arkansas Wildlife Magazine, and is considered the leading elk photographer in Arkansas.
